Formula One star Fernando Alonso and Aston Martin didn’t waste any time capitalizing on the buzz from Taylor Swift’s new album.
Alonso, who was randomly linked to the pop superstar last April, received attention when fans suggested Swift threw shade at him on her new song, “imgonnagetyouback,” which was released Friday as part of her “The Tortured Poets Department: The Anthology.”
Shortly after the album’s release, Alonso, 42, appeared in a video posted by Aston Martin on TikTok that showed him listening to the song in question while holding his index finger to his mouth to make a “shh” gesture.

Alonso, who was scrolling on an iPad, did not say anything in the video.
On the track “imgonnagetyouback,” the 14-time Grammy winner sings about an Aston Martin being steered into a ditch, which fueled Swiftie speculation that the lyrics were about the Spanish F1 racer.
“Small talk, big love, act like I don’t care what you did,” Swift sings. “I’m an Aston Martin that you steered straight into the ditch / Then ran and hid.”
The video was significant because Aston Martin posted a similar TikTok with Alonso last April after romance rumors involving Swift surfaced.
At the time, Alonso — who has been driving for Team Aston Martin since 2023 — was seen scrolling on his phone while listening to a remix of Swift’s 2022 song “Karma.”
Swift, 34, never addressed the baseless dating rumors that followed their respective breakups.
Swift and actor Joe Alwyn called it quits in April 2023 after six years together, while Alonso announced that he and Andrea Schlager, his former long-time partner, had split.
At the time, Alonso said he preferred “not to comment” on the matter and that he keeps his “personal and professional life apart.”
Swift is currently dating Chiefs tight end Travis Kelce after they first got together last summer.
On Friday, “The Tortured Poets Department” became the first album in Spotify’s history to get more than 300 million streams in a single day.
The songs “The Alchemy” and “So High School” appear to reference her romance with Kelce.
