LOS ANGELES, CA – MAY 08: Cardi B arrives as Fashion Nova Presents: Party With Cardi at Hollywood … [+]
Cardi B is on a releasing streak, as she’s now dropped a pair of singles in only a few weeks. On Friday (March 15), the rapper returned with “Enough (Miami),” her latest track. Fans made it clear that they were interested in both the musician and her latest offering by snapping up copies of the cut in droves.
“Enough (Miami)” shot right to No. 1 on iTunes in the U.S. shortly after it arrived. The tune currently (as of the time of publishing) rules the ranking of the bestselling songs in the country.
The instant ascent of “Enough (Miami)” is impressive, considering the fact that Cardi faced some tough competition for the throne. Currently, the single beats out new releases from BTS singer V and Nicki Minaj, among others.
BTS’s V nearly conquered the iTunes chart, but even he wasn’t able to beat Cardi–at least not as of Friday morning. His single “Fri(end)s” sits at No. 2–and three other versions of the future smash also take up space inside the top 10.
Minaj is also making a play for the No. 1 spot on the iTunes ranking, but for the moment, she’s relegated to third place. Her song “Big Difference” rises to No. 3, becoming a sales win months after it was first released. The rapper has a dozen takes on that tune spread throughout the list.
Five versions of “Enough (Miami)” are selling well enough to find space inside the top 40 on iTunes. As is commonly seen these days among major stars in music, Cardi dropped a number of slightly tweaked takes on the cut for superfans to buy. The same track–though with barely different names–also sit at Nos. 12, 23, 26, and 35.
“Enough (Miami)” was released just two weeks after Cardi’s other recent track, “Like What (Freestyle).” That tune was a sales win as well, as it currently sits at No. 3 on Billboard’s Digital Song Sales chart, earning the loftiest start of the frame. That tune also launches inside the top 40 on the Hot 100 at No. 38.
