Lady Gaga has been out of the public eye for a minute or two, but it might be because she’s been focusing on her private life with boyfriend Michael Polansky. The 38-year-old superstar resurfaced in West Hollywood on Sunday, and it looked like she added a major accessory to her jewelry collection — on that finger!
Gaga’s left finger had a very large — we are talking huge — diamond ring sparkling in the California sunshine, per photos published on Page Six. The “Born This Way” singer wasn’t hiding it either. The exquisite piece of jewelry was peeping out in a very artful way even though her long-sleeve coat dangled over her hands. She had a big smile on her face, and maybe it’s because she got engaged. Fans are already speculating that this could be Lady Gaga’s next big step with Polansky, whom she’s been dating since 2019.

While the Oscar winner has not confirmed or denied the news, one smart fan tagged her on X and directly asked, “@ladygaga gurll are u engaged??😭😭” Well, that’s one way to try and navigate around the rumors even if there’s been no response so far! What makes this possible turn of events in Gaga’s personal life so interesting is that a source recently told Entertainment Tonight that the couple was “not rushing to their next milestones as a couple” right now. They were reportedly “content with where things are at.” Did their situation suddenly change?
Gaga went Instagram official with Polansky in February 2020 after they were spotted earlier in the year smooching at midnight on New Year’s Eve. Polansky, the co-founder of a philanthropy organization, has been praised as a caring and loving boyfriend to the pop star — and that ring might be an indication of how he likes to spoil her. “She loves to be wined and dined and taken care of, and Michael certainly does that for her,” a source told Us Weekly in 2020. “He loves to take care of her and spoil her, and they love to travel together. Michael is very wealthy and likes to treat her to nice things and experiences.”
We will have to wait for a Lady Gaga comment on her new piece of hardware, but it looks like she’s happy in her relationship with or without an engagement. Yet we know fans are eager to know if she and Polansky are taking that next step, so it’s officially a waiting game — for now.
