Lady Gaga is a 13-time Grammy winner with five Billboard 200 top five solo albums, but over the past decade, she’s shown the full range of her talent by acting in a number of acclaimed films.
Most recently, it was confirmed on Thursday (Aug. 4) that the star will be in the upcoming film Joker: Folie à Deux, a sequel to the 2019 film Joker starring Joaquin Phoenix. While little else has been revealed regarding Gaga’s character in the upcoming movie, the online consensus is that the singer will be transforming into Harley Quinn, the merry murderer and romantic counterpart to the Joker.

In 2021, Gaga starred in the highly anticipated House of Gucci film as Patrizia Reggiani, who was convicted in 1995 of killing her ex-husband Maurizio Gucci, grandson of the popular designer brand’s founder Guccio Gucci and the heir to the company. She was nominated for a BAFTA Award, Screen Actors Guild Award, AACTA International Award and more honors for her role.
House of Gucci came just three years after Gaga took over the world as Ally in the 2018 remake of A Star Is Born. She and co-star Bradley Cooper won best original song with the historic Billboard Hot 100 chart-topper “Shallow” at the 2019 Oscars, where the film was nominated for eight awards, including best picture, best actor (Cooper) and best actress (Gaga). The movie also won four Grammy Awards between the 2019 and 2020 awards shows, including best pop duo/group performance for “Shallow” and best compilation soundtrack for visual media.
To celebrate the “Bad Romance” singer’s illustrious film career, we at Billboard have compiled all of Lady Gaga’s movie appearances (so far), stemming all the way back to her big-screen debut in 2013’s Machete Kills.
