Taylor Swift has a new album slated to drop in only a few weeks, but before The Tortured Poets Department arrives, her most recent collection is still churning out hits. One of her album cuts has become surprisingly popular again, rising to a new high on a Billboard chart in an unexpected display from the singer.
“Style (Taylor’s Version)” is back on this week’s Adult Contemporary chart. Billboard arranges the ranking every week to show which songs are performing best at adult contemporary radio stations across the U.S., based on how many audience impressions they rack up.
Swift’s slightly-tweaked take on her single “Style” reappears on the Adult Contemporary chart at No. 29. It’s not new to the list, but it has never reached this height before.
“Style (Taylor’s Version)” debuted on the Adult Contemporary chart back in February, but at the time, it only held on for one frame. Now, while it’s climbed to a new peak of No. 29, the track still ranks as her lowest-charting placement and her tune with the fewest number of frames on the list, with just two (so far).
The original version of “Style” first hit the Adult Contemporary chart nearly a decade ago, in 2015. The electro-pop smash rose all the way to No. 1, and it ranks as one of Swift’s nine chart-toppers and her 19 career top 10s.
Swift reworked “Style (Taylor’s Version)” to include on her album 1989 (Taylor’s Version). That set arrived in late 2023 and became one of the most successful projects of her career. It peaked at No. 1 on the Billboard 200, moving more than 1.6 million equivalent units in its first frame. It produced a number of Hot 100 hits as well, including this updated take on “Style,” which was one of the standout tracks on the original 1989.
While “Style (Taylor’s Version)” may be succeeding on one of Billboard’s radio charts, it doesn’t appear that it was ever spun off as an official single from 1989 (Taylor’s Version). The main focus from the project was “Is It Over Now? (Taylor’s Version) [From The Vault],” which reached No. 1 on the Hot 100. That cut is also up at No. 13 on this radio list–its peak position.
