Drop everything now and meet us… at Hogwarts? MuggleNet has learned that Taylor Swift is indeed collecting Horcruxes, and her next one will be none other than a featured song in the highly anticipated TV adaptation of the Harry Potter books.
Let’s go back to December. Fans of Taylor Swift are now left wondering, Was that quote really an Easter egg? “Which quote?” you might ask. It’s the one that left Potterhead Swifties on the edge of their seats in the 2023 Time’s Person of the Year article about Swift: “I’m collecting Horcruxes. I’m collecting Infinity Stones. Gandalf’s voice is in my head every time I put out a new one. For me, it’s like a movie now.”
As this is still an early report, Warner Bros. Television has yet to share the details of the upcoming track’s title or even the episode in which it will be featured. However, they did let slip that Swift will not only write and record one song for the TV show but has also joked about wanting to write what she referred to as “an ode to Mrs. Norris,” who is, in her opinion, the very understated hero of the books.
Based on Swift’s style we can expect this song will surely cause tears to ricochet, castles to crumble and us to say she really is the mastermind. Perhaps this song will be as emotionally wrenching and wistful as “Illicit Affairs,” “All Too Well,” and “The Lakes” – serving as the perfect accompaniment to moments such as Harry seeing his family in the Mirror of Erised or flipping through the photo album curated by Hagrid. Alternatively, this might be a joyful tune celebrating Gryffindor winning the House Cup.
While this news has really made sparks fly, Potterhead Swifties will need to wait until 2026 to hear what Swift has enchanted for us this time. That leaves us with one final question: Are you ready for it?

The magic of the Wizarding World enchanted me at an early age. Since then I have read the books more times than I can count. I love to inspire and connect with others through the Wizarding World.
