Ghana has become the next big tourist destination for music stars, actors, and other well-known faces from around the world.
In December 2020, the Ghanaian government launched the “Beyond the Return” campaign as a follow-up to its record-breaking Year of Return initiative, which brought millions of visitors and generated a good amount of money for the country.
This year has not been left out, as Black Americans and entertainment industry stars including Usher, Kendrick Lamar, Gabrielle Union, Danai Gurira, SZA, Meek Mill, Chance the Rapper and others have visited the home country, Ghana.
AfroChella, AfroNation, the Black Star Line Festival (on January 6), and others are on the list.
Here are lists of Stars who visited Ghana in 2022.
Usher
American R&B superstar Usher was in Ghana for the Global Citizen Festival and used the opportunity to tour some parts of Ghana.
2. Kendrick Lamar
American rapper and songwriter, Kendrick Lamar made his first-ever visit to Accra, Ghana. His trip was documented by Spotify. In the video, Lamar visits the Freedom Skatepark, which the late Virgil Abloh helped fund, and he also calls Mr. Morale & The Big Steppers his “most present” album.

3. Meek Mill
American rapper Meek Mill was in Ghana to perform at the 2022 AfroNation concert.
4. Chance the Rapper
5. Vic Mensa
6. Gabrielle Union
American Actress, Gabrielle Union, her Husband Dwayne Wade and their daughter Kaavia James were in Ghana.
7. SZA
SZA, an American singer and songwriter in Ghana, toured parts of Ghana and performed at 2022 Global Citizen Festival.
The Singer shared her excitement about visiting Ghana and encouraged others to pay visit.

8. Danai Gurira
Danai Jekesai Gurira an American-Zimbabwean actress and playwright, was in Ghana to host Global Citizen Festival and also toured the beautiful country.
9. Bas
American rapper, Abbas Hamad, better known by his stage name Bas, was spotted having fun in Ghana.

10. Ramz
British rapper, singer and songwriter Ramz was also in Ghana. He shared a video on his Twitter page eating the Ghanaian delicacy, Kontomire and boiled plantains.
