Generation Z social media users are sharing that they are looking for more masculine men like Taylor Swift‘s Super Bowl football star boyfriend, Travis Kelce.
This dating trend parts with Swift’s previous style of picking skinny, fashion-conscious men. Swift previously dated Twilight star Taylor Lautner, British actor Tom Hiddleton, The 1975 frontman Matt Healy, and actor Joe Alwyn, all with slim builds, unlike her current athletic beau.
One TikTok user, Brittany Hugoboom, has a theory about the growing trend to embrace more masculine men as a part of a wider “Twink Erasure.“
People are upset at Timothée Chalamet’s “weight gain” but I think they just need to chill #twinkerasure #timothéechalamet #buccalfatremoval
“Now what is this Twink erasure?” Hugoboom explained. “Basically saying that we’re now in an era where my generation and some Gen Z used to like the skinny guys like the Joe Bros, Harry Styles, Timothy and now, they’re gravitating towards men that can protect them.”
She added, “Feeling like Taylor Swift was a big part of this trend dating Travis Kelce.”
“They’re more attractive to females if they win,” she said about Swift’s Super Bowl champion.

Fox News host Rachel Campos-Duffy responded to the growing trend.
“Breaking News: Despite billions of dollars spent pushing gender fluidity trend, women remain stubbornly attracted to masculine men,” she said on X.
