‘Taylor Swift: The Eras Tour (Taylor’s Version)’ gets its first trailer ahead of early Disney+ debut – Gold Derby

Fans of Taylor Swift are ready for it, so it should be little surprise that Disney+ has moved up the premiere date for “Taylor Swift: The Eras Tour (Taylor’s Version).”
As announced Monday by Swift and Disney, “The Eras Tour” movie will premiere on the streaming platform on March 14 at 6 p.m. PT. The blockbuster concert film was originally set to premiere on March 15.
Released last fall via a partnership with AMC Theaters, “The Eras Tour” earned more than $260 million worldwide, minting the epic-length feature as the top-grossing concert film ever. The streaming version, exclusive to Disney after Swift made a deal with the studio for a reported $75 million, expands on the theatrical release with four acoustic songs as well as the addition of the fan favorite “cardigan.” At least one of the acoustic tracks is now known thanks to the film’s new trailer: the teaser closes with Swift playing “Maroon” from her Grammy Award-winning album “Midnights.”

Swift remains the busiest and arguably the biggest star in the world. She’s still traveling the globe with the Eras Tour (she’s currently in Singapore) and will release her new album, “The Tortured Poets Department,” in April.
