While some reports say that Taylor Swift and Travis Kelce are talking about marriage as well as babies, a recent one claims that the pressure may be getting to the Chiefs player. According to a new report, Travis has become overwhelmed by Taylor’s strict rules as he joins her for the continuation of her Eras tour.
“Pals are saying now that Taylor and Travis are more than six months into their relationship, she feels comfortable setting certain rules for him to follow,” a source told Life & Style. “Fortunately, Travis is on board — with most of them, anyway.”
While the insider reveals that Travis is supposedly happy to receive Taylor’s advice on how to navigate the media and attention, they’re not in agreement about all of her expectations.
“Travis is fine with Taylor giving him her thoughts and opinions on how to navigate such a public relationship. He really does appreciate it,” they explained. “He’s not so happy with some of the restrictions she wants in place, though.”
Apparently, Taylor has asked her boyfriend not to take public photos with other women, as she worried it’ll create speculation and false narratives. “[Travis] is fine not going to strip clubs anymore (that’s one of her hard rules), but Taylor also doesn’t want him posing for photographs with female fans, mostly to avoid inaccurate headlines,” they explained. “He had to roll his eyes at that one.”
The insider emphasized that, should Travis continued to be annoyed by Taylor’s expectations, it could be a dealbreaker for their relationship. “But he has no interest in playing a calculated media game if it’s going to make him think twice about every move he makes. That’s not his style,” the source shared.
The same report claimed that Taylor may be suspicious of Travis when they’re apart, as she’s specifically requested they video chat not only text when they’re separated.
“Friends claim that Taylor has asked Travis to FaceTime her, not just text, when they’re apart,” the source went on. “She didn’t overtly say it, but she secretly wants to see where he is and who he’s with. Taylor’s a good judge of character and fears that some of his buddies are red flags.”
However, they added that Taylor isn’t about to dictate who Travis can hang-out with, noting, “That would be a relationship deal breaker for both of them.”
Earlier this month, Travis joined Taylor in Australia briefly while she made several tour stops. The couple were photographed on a zoo date, which got them backlash from PETA, who encouraged them to visit a sanctuary in the future.
There’s also reports that Travis will join Taylor in Europe for the Eras leg, after she was a huge supporter for his third Super Bowl win. Still, with the athlete reportedly growing exhausted by their relationship – by both the growing attention as well as Taylor’s expectations – it could spell trouble for the couple in the near future.
