The photos have not been seen before
Taylor Swift‘s ex-boyfriend Joe Alwyn sparked a surprise on Monday night when he uploaded a series of previously unseen photos nearly a year after their breakup.
The actor, who turns 33 on February 21, had not posted any photos on his Instagram profile since September 2023. But he was clearly keen to get these photos out into the public, dumping the series of images without a caption and with the comments disabled.
The first of the images features Alwyn taking a mirror selfie in a wooded area with a film camera. Other images include the Briton drinking with friends and a dog, with pictures of the ocean, a casino and a landscape in Los Angeles also included.
Fans were left stumped about the meaning behind the photos, although it may be as simple as Alwyn showing his passion for photography and posting memories with friends. In any case, it offered a rare insight to his life, with Alwyn known to be a private person who isn’t too concerned with being famous.
He has been single since their breakup was made official in the spring of 2023, having spent six years with Swift, 34. And there could be more details about their relationship made public if her new music is anything to go by.
Alwyn previously revealed he’s part of a WhatsApp group chat called ‘The Tortured Man Club’.
Given that Swift‘s new album is titled ‘The Tortured Poets Department’, it would lead many to assume that it could be another album about one of her former lovers.
The tracklist for the 14-time Grammy winner’s 11th studio album, set for release April 19, even includes a song called ‘So Long, London’, which gives an obvious reference to her time spent with Alwyn in the English capital.
Swift has long moved on from that part of her life, though, spending six months with her new partner Travis Kelce, who plays in the NFL for the Kansas City Chiefs.
