Taylor Swift Reveals New 'Tortured Poets Department' Album Cover – Entertainment Tonight

Let the album rollout begin! Taylor Swift is teasing a second cover image for her upcoming The Tortured Poets Department and has announced a new bonus track.
Swift dropped the news during her Eras Tour performance in Melbourne, Australia, on Friday, going live on Instagram to share the moment with her followers around the globe.
The stunning sepia-toned image shows Swift’s face resting on her arms as she lays on a bed, gazing off into the distance. It’s a similar aesthetic to her first Tortured Poets imagery, in which she is sprawled on a bed in black lingerie.
A second close-up image of Swift’s face highlights the phrase, “You don’t get to tell me about sad.”
“File Name: The Bolter,” she captioned an Instagram post on Friday. “Pre-order the new edition of THE TORTURED POETS DEPARTMENT with an exclusive bonus track for a limited time on my website now.”
While making the announcement on stage, Swift also performed her fan-favorite Midnights bonus track, “You’re Losing Me,” for the first time as the new Tortured Poets art was displayed on the jumbotron behind her.
As for the new song’s title, fans on social media were quick to link the concept of “The Bolter” to an old video in which she and ex boyfriend Joe Alwyn were seen sprinting from a building into a car to avoid being photographed together. This comes weeks after Swifties dug up a 2022 interview Alywn did with Variety in which he revealed that he was in a group chat called “The Tortured Man Club.”
Swift and Alwyn split last year after six years of dating. Since then, she has been involved in a high profile relationship with Kansas City Chiefs tight end Travis Kelce
The pop star first announced her 11th studio album at the 2024 GRAMMYs last month. Then, during her Eras Tour stop in Tokyo, Japan, she opened up to fans about the timeline behind the project.
“I’ve been working on it for about two years,” she said of Tortured Poets, which comes on the heels of 2022’s Midnights and two rerecorded albums. “I kept working on it throughout the U.S. tour and when it was perfect, in my opinion, when it was good enough for you, I finished it.”
She continued, “I am so, so excited that soon you’ll get to hear it, soon we’ll get to experience that together, and I’m just like, I’m over the moon about the fact that you guys care about my music. It still blows my mind. I love doing this, I know I keep saying that, but that’s because it’s true.'”
Swift joked that she’s been asked on numerous occasions, “Why do you make so many albums?” She replies, “Man, because I love it. I love it so much.”
She added, “I’m having fun, leave me alone.”
The Tortured Poets Department will be released worldwide on April 19.
