Taylor Swift’s Eras Tour is an ongoing sixth concert tour by the artist who is regarded as one of the biggest and most successful artists in the world. Eras Tour is Taylor Swift’s homage to her 10-album discography and is the most expansive tour yet. The tour started in March 2023 from Glendale, United States, and is set to conclude in Vancouver, Canada, on December 8th, 2024.

Eras Tour has now been compared to Super Bowl 2024, which is going to be held on February 11th, 2024.
According to reports by Augustman, the Super Bowl is one of the main sporting events that have people around the world waiting for it whether it’s the clash between the teams or the halftime performance from an artist that is a huge deal.
For Super Bowl 2024, the match between the San Francisco 49ers and Kansas City Chiefs at the Allegiant Stadium in Paradise, Nevada. This is going to be the first Super Bowl to be held in the state of Nevada and will be televised nationally by CBS and streamed on Paramount+. Usher is set to perform at the halftime show.
The reports also note that the Super Bowl offers one of the highest payouts when compared to any club sporting events held around the world. The winning team members receive about USD 164,000, with each member on the losing side will receive USD 89,000. It has been said that the prize money for 2024 has seen a bump from the 2023 season, which was USD 150,000.
The winning amount at Super Bowl 2024 has now been compared to Taylor Swift’s Eras Tour; thanks to her popularity and her boyfriend Travis Kelce who plays for the Kansas City Chiefs being one of the players to be playing the match. According to The Guardian, back in December 2023, Eras Tour became the first to gross over $1 billion, with 4.35 million tickets sold across 60 tour dates.
Swift’s merchandise for the tour brought in another $200 million in sales in addition to her movie which went on to earn $250 million in sales making it one of the highest-grossing concert movies of all time. It should be noted that the tour is currently going on and will conclude in December 2024 which goes on to showcase that Swift’s earnings from the tour are insanely bigger than one of the biggest sporting events Super Bowl’s prize money.
According to reports from Variety, the successful concert movie; Taylor Swift: The Eras Tour (Taylor’s Version) will soon be streaming on Disney+ as the artist has sold rights for the movie. According to Puck News via Variety, Disney is paying more than $75 million to the artist for streaming her concert movie and Disney outbid Netflix and Universal Pictures for it.
Upon its release in October 2023, the movie raked near about $261.7 million at the global box office and became the highest-grossing concert movie to date. The concert movie was filmed at the first three L.A. shows of the Eras Tour, and it’s 2 hours 45 minutes long with several songs omitted from her actual performance.
The expanded version of Taylor Swift: The Eras Tour (Taylor’s Version) will debut on March 15 on Disney+. Bog Iger, Disney CEO, shared during the earnings call,
“We know audience are going to absolutely love the chance to relive the electrifying Taylor Swift: The Eras Tour (Taylor’s Version) whenever they want on Disney+.”
Disney+ currently streams Swift’s Folklore: The Long Pond Studio Sessions, and according to reports, her Eras Tour is expected to exceed the $2 billion mark by the end of this year. Taylor Swift: The Eras Tour (Taylor’s Version) will stream on the platform from March 15th.
