Megan Thee Stallion has expressed her admiration for Cardi B regarding the autonomy she’s been given over songs they’ve collaborated on.
In a recent interview with Billboard, the Houston Hottie spoke on how the Bronx rapper has allowed her creative freedom on songs like “Bongos” and “W.A.P.”
“She literally just let me do me,” Meg told the outlet. “This is the second time she’s sent me a song, and I’ll be like, ‘Friend, can I do whatever I want to do on the beat? I’m finna put two verses on here, alright?’ She always let me do whatever I want to do creatively.”
Additionally, she said, “I just appreciate that so much because sometimes people try to give you a direction and they want you to do what they want you to do, but she’s like ‘Megan, what you think?’ She’ll ask me what I think about this song like, ‘OK, how you think we could make it better? What should we do next? Just do whatever you wanna do and then we’ll piece it together.’”

The Traumazine rhymer expressed her gratitude for Cardi being “open to whatever I’m saying or any suggestion.” She added that the “Jealousy” rapper’s “ego ain’t big.” Last month, Megan hinted at a possible full-length joint album with Cardi.
“I literally think that’s the route that we’re going,” Meg revealed to Complex. “So I’ve done two songs for her. And now I feel like I’m in a space where I know exactly what songs I want her to do for me. So we’re really building a little EP already. We’re gonna have enough music that we need to go on tour together. Me and [Cardi B] going out together will be so amazing. We are already so cool. And I feel like we got similar fans.”
“So if she wanted to do a little EP, I would definitely be so down to do that, but we are making enough music to already have that,” she ended.
The two rapstresses first teamed up in 2020 for the raunchy top-charting record, “W.A.P.,” and this September, they linked again for “Bongos.” In the hit song, the two trade bars as they braggadociously talk about their derrières and being top rappers in the game.
Cardi raps, “I don’t care where you from/ Better beat this sh*t like a drum/ Don’t be talkin’ sh*t like you know me/ I ride d*ck like a pony, girl/ That ni**a look like a brokey/ Go and f**k with his homie,” before the Hot Girl Coach comes in with, “This a** sit like the stallion, all these wannabes my lil’ ponies/ These ho*s camped out in the comments, always talkin’ like they know me.”
