Taylor Swift is reportedly planning to direct her first-ever feature-length film once she has concluded her historic The Eras tour. It was announced in December 2023 that Swift will direct a film for Searchlight Pictures, but it is unknown when the filming will take place. “Taylor is a once-in-a-generation artist and storyteller. It is a genuine joy and privilege to collaborate with her as she embarks on this exciting and new creative journey,” said Searchlight presidents David Greenbaum and Matthew Greenfield. It has been reported that the singer has written an original script for the movie, but details about the plot are currently unknown. She has previously directed the music videos for her songs ‘All Too Well’ and ‘The Man’, both of which won MTV VMAs for Best Direction. Swift will start working on her film debut once her tour has finished, which is expected to be late 2024 or early 2025.
