Andy Murray jokingly congratulated Taylor Swift for winning the Super Bowl as she appeared to be the centre of attention after the Kansas City Chiefs beat the San Francisco 49ers.
The Kansas City Chiefs took on the San Francisco 49ers on Sunday at the Allegiant Stadium in Las Vegas and emerged victorious, winning the game 25-22 after enduring a rocky start.
Fans were kept on the edge of their seat throughout the NFL game, with many in the UK staying up into the early hours as they watched Swift chug beer from the stands as she celebrated her boyfriend Travis Kelce‘s win.
The Grammy winner was almost in tears as she watched the Chiefs win over the San Francisco 49ers 25-22 in Sin City, before sharing several kisses in front of dozens of cameras before lifting up the Lombardi Trophy together.
Murray decided to take to social media to jokingly congratulate Swift after the media frenzy died down, saying: ‘Congrats to Taylor Swift on winning Super Bowl 58. A stunning performance.’

Fans couldn’t help but laugh at Murray’s Tweet. One supporter wrote: ‘Andy is now a goat to me. This is brilliant’. Another added: ‘Hahaha, this is spot on mate.’ While one said: ‘Thank God! There is sanity from this madness!’.
Swift had flown to Las Vegas from Tokyo, where she had played four straight nights on her Eras Tour. Meanwhile, Kelce faced a build-up like no other to the biggest game of them all with relentless questions about his girlfriend.
Swift arrived flanked by rapper Ice Spice, actress Blake Lively, and longtime friend Ashley Avignone. She was also spotted chugging beer in her box while watching Kelce in action.
However, it wasn’t the start to the game Swift or Kelce were hoping for. The Niners struck first with a field goal and then extended their lead with a double pass trick play that saw wide receiver Jauan Jennings toss it to Christian McCaffrey for a screen pass touchdown.
The game finished tied at 19-19 and the 49ers scored a field goal to take a narrow three-point lead. But Patrick Mahomes hauled his team up the field, with help from right-hand man Kelce, and found Mecole Hardman for the touchdown that won the Super Bowl.

Swift was seen blowing kisses to Kelce as he screamed ‘VIVA LAS VEGAS’ in his victory speech while holding onto the Vince Lombardi trophy.
‘Come here, girl,’ Kelce appeared to call out to Swift, who herself looked close to tears, before they hugged and kissed in front of thousands of people.
Cameras picked up a few words shared between America’s sweetheart couple, with Kelce asking the singer ‘was it electric?’ before she gushed ‘It was unbelievable. One of the craziest things I’ve ever experienced.’
Kelce later got up onto the stage as he sung a rendition of Viva Las Vegas into the microphone before screaming ‘you gotta fight for you right to party’, making the crowd go wild.
