“ ‘The Eras Tour’ has been a true phenomenon that has and continues to thrill fans around the world, and we are very excited to bring this electrifying concert to audiences wherever they are, exclusively on Disney+,” Disney CEO Bob Iger said in a statement released Wednesday, Feb. 7.
Swift performed two nights at Levi’s Stadium, the home of the San Francisco 49ers, last July, but the concert film — titled “Taylor Swift: The Eras Tour” for its theatrical release — is of Swift’s performances at SoFi Stadium in Inglewood (Los Angeles County) in August. The movie became the 11th highest-grossing domestic film of 2023, amassing more than $175 million since its release on Oct. 12. An extended version of the film has been available for on-demand rental since Dec. 13, coinciding with Swift’s 34th birthday.

“Taylor Swift: The Eras Tour” (PG-13) begins streaming on Disney+ starting March 15.
The tour’s next leg will take her to Australia, Europe and the U.K., with performances scheduled throughout the summer. The grand finale is slated for October and November, featuring a series of shows in the U.S. and Canada.

Swift’s extraordinary week began with her record-breaking fourth win for album of the year at the 66th Grammy Awards in Los Angeles. During her acceptance speech, she surprised fans with the announcement of her next album, “The Tortured Poets Department,” set for release in April.
“I would love to tell you this is the best moment of my life,” she said from the stage. “But I feel this happy when I finish a song, or when I crack the code to a bridge that I love, or when I’m shot-listing a music video, or when I’m rehearsing with my dancers, or my band, or getting ready to go to Tokyo to play a show. For me, the award is the work. All I want to do is keep being able to do this.”
Directed by Sam Wrench, “Taylor Swift: The Eras Tour” has grossed more than $260 million worldwide at the global box office, making it the top-selling concert film of all time.
