Bradley Cooper discusses working with ‘charismatic’ Lady Gaga after romance rumours – Express

Bradley Cooper, who directed and starred in the Oscar award-winning flick, was caught up in a heap of headlines at the time of the film’s release, with reports suggesting the actor shared more than a working relationship with the Rain On Me hitmaker. The 2018 remake, which generated a colossal £331.6 million at the worldwide box office, fed off the free publicity it gained as fans began to speculate whether the pair were dating.

While Bradley, who was still with then-fiancée Irina Shayk at the time, denied such claims, his intimate performance with Gaga at the 2019 Oscars suggested otherwise to fans.
Their on-screen chemistry had indeed translated off-screen too.
In November, Bradley addressed the rumours once more in an interview with The Hollywood Reporter.
During his chat with the publication, the father of one denied having shared any romance with Gaga during and after the two began working on the movie together.

“Just from a personal standpoint, it reduces the anxiety level,” he uttered.
“They kind of fall in love in that scene in the film. It’s that explosive moment that happens to happen to them on a stage in front of thousands of people.”
Bradley added: “It would have been so weird if we were both on stools facing the audience.”In the film, the Pennsylvania local plays a musician named Jack, who helps an aspiring singer named Ally find her true potential while his own career heads into a downward spiral intertwined with alcoholism and depression.
Bradley also touched on getting to work with Gaga, who he described as “charismatic” and “beautiful”, whose commitment level is relatively unheard of.
“A Star Is Born is such a specific thing, and there was always a meta element to the project. She’s just so terribly charismatic and beautiful…,” he explained.
“When I met her, I thought, ‘If I can just harness that… then it’s just for me to mess up’.

“But then, when we started working together, I realized, ‘Oh, oh, the sky’s the limit in terms of what she’s able to do and her commitment level’.”
Gaga, who earned plenty of Oscar buzz for her role as Ally in A Star Is Born, is once again finding herself the topic of discussion for next year’s awards ceremony, with a critically-acclaimed performance in Ridley Scott’s House Of Gucci.
The Bad Romance chart-topper portrays Patrizia Reggiani, who plotted the death of her ex-husband Maurizio Gucci after uncovering he was leaving her for another woman.
Getting into character for the part was no easy feat for Gaga, who has been open about her struggle with PTSD after being sexually assaulted by a music producer at the start of her music career.
The Italian-American superstar used her real-life trauma to steer her performance once she had to embody the socialite.
“I took the pain I feel from being attacked when I was a young girl, from feeling left behind by people that I love, from feeling trapped that I can’t go out into a world that I love,” she gushed.
“I took that pain and I gave it to her.’
Since its premiere in November, House Of Gucci has generated £84 million in worldwide ticket sales.
