THE WHAT? NYX Professional Makeup announced its first Big Game commercial featuring Cardi B, set to debut on February 11. Cardi B, a longtime fan of NYX, marks her first beauty partnership with this campaign.
THE DETAILS The commercial, highlighting NYX’s Duck Plump High Pigment Plumping Lip Gloss, aims to challenge traditional narratives by focusing on powerful women and humorously subverting male stereotypes in the football industry. The 30-second spot will air during the second half of the game, with an extended version available on NYX’s social channels.
THE WHY? To coincide with the campaign, NYX is launching an exclusive new lip gloss shade, ‘Cherry Spice,’ available on their website and ULTA Beauty. The campaign is developed with McCann New York and directed by Quinn Katherman and Paul Hunter from Prettybird.
