A walled and gated Encino estate touted by the MLS as a “prime celeb compound” is on the market for $24.995 million.
County records show Troy Carter, the one-time manager of Lady Gaga turned music tech mogul, is the owner. He and his wife, Rebecca, purchased the secluded property in August 2011 for $6.25 million as part of this two-parcel sale.
The 10,000-square-foot, Mediterranean-style residence has six bedrooms and eight bathrooms. Sited on more than 7.5 acres, it comprises five structures — the main house, wine cellar and tasting house, entertainment pavilion, pool house and gym/garage.
Permits show a major remodel to the residence, which marketing materials credit to home designer Paul McClean, owner of McClean Design in Orange.
The main house boasts natural light-filled spaces. There are large-scale public rooms for entertaining with vanishing glass walls to outdoor decks. Other highlights include a blue-wood paneled bar room, an all-white gourmet kitchen and a 3,400-square-foot primary suite with double bathrooms and closets that look like the inside of Rodeo Drive boutiques.
As impressive as it all sounds, the MLS photos depict a house that is also warm and approachable.
The grounds hold a variety of outdoor amenities, including a pool and spa, a barbecue center with a dining patio and a sports court.
A motor court and parking for up to 34 cars adds to the offering.

Carter, 51, is co-founder and CEO of the music tech companies Q&A and Venice Music. Before that, he was the founder and CEO of Atom Factory, where he helped launch Lady Gaga to stardom after Def Jam dropped her from its label in 2006. Lady Gaga parted ways with Carter, citing creative differences in 2013.
More recently, Carter served at Spotify as global head of creator services.
