Taylor Swift: The Eras Tour film, the highest-grossing concert movie of all time, is finally coming to streamers. Find out everything you need to know about when the film is coming to streaming and how to watch it at home (with sparkly outfits, friendship bracelets and all).
Because of Swift’s deal with AMC that required the film to play in theaters for at least 13 weeks, it was initially thought that the earliest the concert film could arrive on streamers was the weekend of Jan. 12. However, Swift surprised fans by sharing the digital release date sooner than expected. Plus, it’s a day that’s already super special for the Midnights artist.
The film’s streaming rights were expected to be a “hot commodity,” according to The Hollywood Reporter, which reported that “practically every major service throwing their hat in the ring and entering into conversations with team Swift.” Swift’s team was allegedly waiting for the SAG-AFTRA strike to end to begin negotiations. The actors’ union came to a resolution earlier this month.

When is The Eras Tour movie coming to streaming? Taylor Swift’s The Eras Tour concert film will be released for streaming on December 13, 2023 (which is also the singer’s birthday).
“Well, so, basically I have a birthday coming up and I was thinking a fun way to celebrate the year we’ve had together would be to make The Eras Tour Concert Film available for you to watch at home!” the singer wrote via Instagram on Nov. 27.
The 12-time Grammy winner continued, “Very happy to be able to tell you that the extended version of the film including ‘Wildest Dreams,’ ‘The Archer’ and ‘Long Live’ will be available to rent on demand in the US, Canada & additional countries to be announced soon starting on … you guessed it, December 13.”

You can watch The Eras Tour concert movie at home on Apple TV, Vudu, Prime Video, Xfinity, Google Play and YouTube, according to Swift’s official website.
It’s currently unknown whether international territories will also get a streaming release, as Swift has only performed her tour in North and South America so far. Her international dates will resume on Feb. 7 with four nights at the Tokyo Dome in Japan.

What extra songs will be on The Eras Tour Movie extended version? The extended version will also include songs from the tour that were not featured in the movie’s theatrical release, including “Wildest Dreams,” “The Archer” and “Long Live.”
The Eras Tour film has already helped Swift achieve her billionaire status. An estimated $35 million from the first two weeks of screenings added to the 33-year-old’s billion-dollar fortune. Based on the AMC agreement, Swift earns 57% of ticket sales, while theaters keep the remaining 43% of revenues, per Variety.
The Eras Tour film has collected more than $178 million in domestic sales and over $248 million globally since its premiere, according to Box Office Mojo. Some news outlets initially reported that the film would be pulled from theaters on Nov. 5, but AMC clarified that the date referred to the cutoff for the first run of tickets when presales began.
